Supreme Court allows govt's plea for review of SC/ST Act

The SC said that people belonging to SC/ST communities are still being abused and discriminated, adding that the abuse of the Act cannot be a ground to dilute its provisions. Setting aside a two-judge bench order, a three-judge bench held that the apex court should not have ventured to frame guidelines as it comes within the domain of legislature.
