Justice Joseph seniority issue: Went purely by time-tested principle, says government

Amid the controversy over lowering of Justice KM Joseph's seniority while appointing him to the Supreme Court, the government on Monday defended the move, saying it went purely by the "time-tested" principle of high court seniority list.
