In rare action, India fines Lockheed for not fulfilling offset duties

Sources said that the penalty – a little less than $ 5,00,000 – was imposed after the defence ministry was not satisfied with the quantum of offset obligations that Lockheed undertook in India, as per its commitment when the contract was signed.
