Shootout breaks out in Doda amid manhunt after Kathua ambush

Eye on China, desi light tank Zorawar to be ready by 2027

India's Project Zorawar light tank is expected to be ready for induction into the Army by 2027. The light tank, developed by DRDO and private sector company L&T, will have to undergo a series of summer and winter trials, including in deserts and high-altitude areas, over the next two to three years before the entire acquisition, production and induction process can actually begin.

The main accused of the Hathras stampede, Devprakash Madhukar, has surrendered and been taken into custody by the UP Police. Investigations continue with focus on the organisers.
