India records 2.40 lakh fresh Covid-19 cases, 3,741 fatalities

India on Sunday reported 240,842 new coronavirus infections over the last 24 hours and deaths rose by 3,741. The daily rise in coronavirus cases in the country remained below the 3 lakh-mark for the seventh consecutive day, the Union health ministry said.
