Opinion 'different from government' not sedition, says Supreme court; junks plea against Farooq Abdullah

The Supreme Court on Wednesday said that opinion different from opinion of the government cannot be termed "seditious." While hearing a PIL against J&K CM Farooq Abdullah for making statement on scrapping of Article 370, the apex court said "expression of views which is dissent and different from the opinion of the government cannot be termed seditious."
