J&K: 101 terrorists killed, 50 new recruits in 2019

Officials said 101 terrorists - 23 foreigners and 78 locals - were killed in 2019 till May 31. Shopian accounted for a maximum of 25, including 16 local terrorists. Pulwama was second with killings of 15, followed by Awantipora with 14 and Kulgam with 12. However, these highly-volatile areas in south Kashmir continue to contribute more youths to terrorist groups.
