Govt plans road bumps for pre-2000 vehicles

These are some of the disincentives that the government has finalised in its blueprint to push the phasing out of older polluting vehicles. According to different studies, older vehicles are 25 times more polluting as compared to new ones. Sources said old commercial vehicles will be the main focus of voluntary scrapping scheme, which the government is likely to launch in the next three to four months.
