BJP lures away influential minority neta from TMC

Manirul Islam, the latest defector, was elected on a TMC ticket from Labhpur in Birbhum, a district where minorities are an influential factor. Significantly, Manirul was responsible for giving TMC a major lead from his assembly segment in the Lok Sabha polls. Manirul joined the party at BJP’s headquarters in Delhi.
