Youth Congress expels leader who appeared as lawyer for Christian Michel

The Indian Youth Congress (IYC) on Wednesday expelled Aljo K Joseph, its leader who appeared as lawyer for Christian Michel in the Rs 2600-crore AgustaWestland VVIP chopper scam. Joseph was the national incharge for IYC legal department. According to a statement issued by IYC, Joseph appeared for Michel in his personal capacity and did not consult the party beforehand. He has been expelled from the party 'with immediate effect'.
