“The arrears of the salary shall be worked out (till their deemed period of superannuation) and paid to the appellants (Captains Gian Chand Saini, Rajesh Kawatra and Ragwendra Rai) within a period of three months along with interest,” held the Supreme Court bench of justices A K Sikri and S Abdul Nazeer.
