Congress to contest 95 seats in Telangana, leaves 24 to allies

The Congress, Telugu Desam Party, Telangana Jana Samithi and CPI have decided to forge an alliance for the Dec 7 elections. For the 119-member Telangana assembly, Congress would contest 95 seats, leaving the remaining to partners. Party's candidate list would be released on November 8 or 9. TDP is likely to contest 14 seats while TJS and CPI seats are under discussion.
